Testimonials from Clients & Associates

Monica and Jordan Jakymyshyn

Dear Anne & Co.,

I cannot thank you enough for making our wedding day something that you see in magazines. You listened to all of my ideas and took cues from my style to create something that I never thought possible. You captured us in every detail – from the live trees, to the flowers, to the vintage chic and even our wedding cake – it was like you have known us for years. You made that day so easy for me and I was able to enjoy the time leading up to the wedding instead of stressing over centre pieces and table cloths. Even your little surprises like the love tree and monogrammed handkerchief were such thoughtful touches. Anne, your designs and vision are unmatched, but its your warm heart and loving spirit that made me feel like anything was possible and made me excited for the future.

I can’t imagine our day without you – and I’m glad I don’t have to. You truly made our dreams come true.

Lots of love and gratitude,

Monica and Jordan Jakymyshyn

Anne was AMAZING!

My husband, Kubo, and I used Anne’s decorating services for our September Big Barn wedding at the Balls Falls Conservation area. We both wanted a barn wedding—a relaxed venue situated amongst greenery and a unique, full of character backdrop for our big day. Having an architecture and arts background, the overall aesthetic as well as details of the décor were very important to me. As the big day approached, I got increasingly overwhelmed by the decorating project, and I think that running into Anne while visiting the barn was a blessing in disguise. When it came to Kubo, it took some major negotiation and convincing, but today he thanks me for bringing Anne on; the minute I did, I felt like I had a big weight lifted off my shoulders.

Anne came into the picture pretty late in the game (although I wish that wasn’t the case—it would have saved me a lot of stress!!!), but she was very quick at understanding what I wanted. It put me at ease when I realized that we speak the same artsy language and that she can take the project and run with it with minimal direction. She listens to your “wish list” and does not try to impose her taste or ideas on the project; she simply focuses on realizing your vision and making it infinitely more than what you yourself could have imagined. She also has all the “stuff” to bring the vision to life—any vision. You can count on Anne to get things done, and with her experience, get things done FAST; I think this is the reason she can stay so calm and positive throughout the entire process. She’s very well connected to everyone, and can help you find anything you need at a fraction of the time and cost. She also surprises you with her other miscellaneous talents, like being a bartender or a wedding cake chef and decorator, letting you cross more things off your wedding “to do” list. She remembers the little details that end up having a big impact, things as simple as turning off the lights for the first dance and completely transforming the space.

I don’t think I’m wrong when I say that every guest at the wedding who had a camera took a picture of the beautiful and very unique head table. I think that Anne made the event something unforgettable for many people—she definitely did for me and my husband! Thank you so much Anne!!! We couldn’t have done it without you!!!

To me, the most refreshing thing about Anne was that it never felt like we were paying for every extra frill or add-on.  The day before the wedding we need 160 apples to complete our table décor – the bad news was that no orchard was open to the public for apple picking for at least another week, and there was no time to run from grocery store to grocery store.  Quick thinking Anne knew which of her neighbors had picked apples that weekend, and within ten minutes we’d repossessed all of the neighbors apples, along with their best wishes, and our problem was solved – at no cost.  It’s these types of practical solutions, even at the last minute that made me feel like Anne genuinely cared about us and our big day.

I met Anne at Dundurn Castle to discuss decorating for our company Christmas party. She listened to my vision for the evening, and then her creativity took over!! Anne transformed the plain, open space into a setting more beautiful than I could have imagined, enhancing the historic features of the room and creating warm and inviting spaces for our guests.

Anne and her team worked quickly and efficiently to set up and take down on the day of the event, while working within a tight time constraint. No detail was overlooked…lanterns and fresh evergreen boughs on stair railings to greet guests as they entered, beautiful flower arrangements throughout the room and center pieces from the spectacular dining table sent home with guests, evergreen on backs of chairs, lovely linens, antique fruit- picking ladders used to create a charming bar, barrels used as side tables, jars of candies, even air fresheners in the restrooms. Anne thought of every detail and even ensured that the evening progressed as planned by being a very gracious host.

Besides Anne’s artistic creativity, I appreciated her ability to offer suggestions and solutions when needed, making the planning and implementation stress-free for me. No question or concern I had went unaddressed. It was an enjoyable, memorable evening for everyone, in perfectly wonderful festive surroundings.
